5 Ingredient Delicious Lasagna

Are you a fan of lasagna?  Are you a fan of easy meals that require a minimal amount of ingredients?  I sure am.  In fact, this recipe has been a staple in my family for years now.  Every time I think of something quick and easy this 5 ingredients delicious lasagna comes to mind.  The good thing about this recipe too, is that I almost always have all the ingredients on hand to whip it up.
Another reason why I really love this recipe is because it is something that my kids can actually help with.  I don't know about you, but every time I am in the kitchen cooking my girls will say, "I wanna help".  I love it most of the time because I feel like letting them help me will train them to be good cooks when they grow up.

So I let them help.  Putting lasagna together is basically layer after layer, or 'a pattern' as my 5 year old puts it.  Meat and sauce first, noodles layered over top, cottage cheese, then shredded cheese.  So I let my kids choose their assignment.  This time, Charli chose to sprinkle the cheese on and Olivia wanted to lay the lasagna noodles out.  So I did the meat mixture and cottage cheese.  They thought it was really fun!  Here is the recipe:

5 Ingredient Delicious Lasagna

1 lb. ground beef, browned
2 jars marinara sauce with mushrooms
16 oz. cottage cheese
1 cup colby jack shredded cheese
lasagna noodles, slightly under-cooked

*pssss.  Add a little ground-up spinach in your sauce, they'll never know!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Start out by adding the marinara sauces to the meat mixture and heat.  Spray a 9x13 inch pan with cooking spray and spread 1/3 of the meat mixture on the bottom.  Over that, layer noodles across the whole width and length of the pan.  Next, spread some cottage cheese over top then sprinkle with cheese.  Repeat those layers.

Bake in the oven for 45 minutes.  Cover with tin foil half way through to avoid a burnt top.

That's it!  Not only is this delicious lasagna easy because it has 5 ingredients, but it's also easy because of the prep.  I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family and I do!
