Very Addicting Sweet Chex Mix

Sometimes you have a recipe that you make for lots and lots of parties and you realize that you haven't shared it with the world yet, but you really need to!  This Sweet Chex Mix has been a favorite at every event I have taken it to.  This is the perfect treat to make for parties, road trips, family reunions, the pool in the summertime, or if you just have a snacky sweet tooth!  And you guessed it, I made this for our Superbowl party this week!
Here is the deal, this recipe is super-easy and makes a ton, like two big bowls full.  I half the recipe if I am just making it for my family here, at home.

Sweet Chex Mix
*contains almonds

9 Cups Rice Chex
9 Cups Golden Grahams
2 Cups Coconut
1 Cup Slivered Almonds
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Karo Syrup
1 Cup Butter

Place Chex, Golden Grahams, Coconut, and almonds in a large bowl and set aside.  Put sugar, Karo syrup, and butter in big pan and boil for 2 minutes while stirring.  Pour over the dry ingredients and mix.  Spread out on wax paper until cool then store in an air tight container.
The chex mix lasts up to 5 days if stored in an air tight container.  I dare say that it gets better with every day that passes!  I also dare say that it probably won't last past the first day though!

My MIL first introduced me to this stuff a few years ago, and I told her she couldn't give me the recipe otherwise I would make it all the time and be 500lbs! She makes it every time we come into town and I LOVE it!
